In Pride Week, we want to give schools the option to educate and share knowledge. This is a fun and important way to create pride in the community and further develop people's understanding of Rainbow issues, history and proud moments.
Name these flags! Kahoot
Kahoot! is a game-based learning platform that makes it easy to play learning games or trivia quizzes in minutes.
Kahoots are best played in a group setting. you’ll need a game host, you need a big screen and players. Players answer on their own devices, while questions are displayed on a shared screen.
We have made a kahoot that is centred around all the different flags for different groups of people under the rainbow. Give it a go with a class, QSA or group of friends.
Get a guest speaker
Contact a local Rainbow Organisation and talk to them about sharing their knowledge with your school or QSA group. Maybe the teachers want to know more about how to help Rainbow students in schools, or better accommodate the needs of Trans* and Non-Binary students within the school. There are many different organisation’s that are out there to support your schools.
Rainbow Inclusive Teaching
A Self Guided Professional Development opportunity for Staff and Teachers
This is a Professional Development presentation that delivers insight into Rainbow young people. This resource will hopefully help to develop your understanding of Rainbow issues, terminology and help you to understand the students that may inhabit your classroom.
